$19.00 - $23.00 per Hour
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Medical Billing and Claims process
- Processing billing tasks daily, posting to correct accounts, collecting outstanding insurance balances.
- Review and correct rejections, denials with 24 hours and submit for rebilling.
- Processing electronic, paper, and web portal billing submissions.
- Consistently updated patient files, updating demographics and registrations.
- Consistently monitoring for improvements and sharing innovative suggestions for improvements with the practice.
- Stay up to date on changing terminology and procedures within the medical field.
- Escalate inquires and requests as necessary.
- Ability to work individually and collaborate with internal teams.
- Additional duties or cross training as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing, Appeals and Negotiation processes.
- Knowledge of and billing portals and EMR systems.
- Experience in CPT, ICD 9/10.
- Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, understand conditions of payment and remits for denial reasons including reimbursements.
- Highly skilled in multi-tasking while handling large volumes of work.
- Ability to multi-task effectively, work individually as well as in a team environment.
- Highly detail-oriented, with ability to meet deadlines.
