Patient Financial Counselor
Location: Phoenix, AZ area
Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm
Pay rate for this role will range between $20 and $25 per hour, DOE.
Responsibilities:
Hospital Billing responsibilities
Working with claim denials, minimum of 50 per day
Interview and register patients, completing authorizations and eligibility
Provide financial counseling and review patient’s financial responsibility
Assist in patient copays and financial arrangements, coinsurance, and deductibles explanations
Obtain financial agreements from patients and follow up on missing information
Generate balance sheets and prepare deposits collected
Additional duties as assigned
What you bring!
High school diploma or equivalent
Required: 3+ years of recent experience in patient registration, medical collections, medical billing
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Professional in communication via email, phone and in person
Experience working with MS Suite
Knowledge of working with AHCCCS
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
