LHH is working with a client in West Phoenix seeking to hire a Construction Payroll Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for payroll professionals with experience in the construction industry who thrive in an on-site work environment.
Position Details:
- Location: West Phoenix, AZ (On-site)
- Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle payroll for construction employees, including union and non-union workers.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and certified payroll requirements.
- Audit timecards, hours, and payroll entries for accuracy.
- Manage and process payroll-related deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate payroll reports.
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting to address payroll discrepancies and ensure compliance with labor laws.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of construction payroll experience preferred.
- Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
