LHH has partnered with a large local company to help fill the role of Payroll Specialist. This is a contract position that will require the candidate to be onsite Monday through Friday. The Payroll Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.
Responsibilities
- Inputting employee work hours, overtime, and PTO in payroll system
- Calculating and deducting the correct withholdings from employees' paychecks
- Maintaining accurate and organized records of payroll transactions
- Generating and distributing paychecks or electronic funds to employees' bank accounts.
- Generating regular payroll reports for management, finance, and other relevant departments.
- Keeping track of changes in employee status, such as promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and updating the payroll system accordingly.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date payroll information.
- Conducting and assisting in regular audits
- Utilizing payroll software and ERP.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is a plus).
- 1 to 2 years payroll experience
- Data entry experience
- Familiar with ERP
Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
