LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a company in Central Phoenix who is in search of a temporary purchasing clerk to join their team for the next six months. This job has a hybrid schedule, and is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The hourly rate is between $21/hr-$23/hr.
As a Purchasing Clerk, you will support the purchasing team by managing procurement activities, processing purchase orders, and maintaining vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist with obtaining quotes and negotiating prices with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with suppliers to ensure stock availability.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, and vendor communications.
- Support the procurement team in managing vendor relationships and resolving any supply chain issues.
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Assist in conducting market research to find new suppliers and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or related certification preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle vendor inquiries effectively.
Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
