Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor

Location: Pico Rivera, CA

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join a dynamic team in the food manufacturing industry. This role involves supervising a team of 5-6 AP clerks and ensuring accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of AP processes, and the ability to drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor an AP team of 5-6 clerks, providing training and support.
  • Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Invoice Processing:

  • Oversee the accurate coding, matching, and approval of invoices.
  • Resolve vendor discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing to meet payment deadlines.

Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Address and resolve billing, payment, or account inquiries.
  • Monitor vendor accounts for overdue payments and potential risks.

Payment Processing:

  • Manage preparation and execution of payments, including checks, ACH, wires, and credit card payments.
  • Ensure all payments align with company schedules and cash flow projections.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and recommend system improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of AP experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development.


Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
