Job Description: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing business. Your primary responsibilities will include handling cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including COGS and inventory accounting.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, including cycle counts, adjustments, and reconciliations.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of COGS and inventory accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
