Temporary Contract Attorney - Business Immigration
LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a highly motivated and experienced Temporary Contract Attorney to join our client's well-established and respected immigration practice group. In this fully remote role, you will assist clients with their employment-based immigration needs, ensuring a smooth and successful experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and assist clients with a wide range of employment-based immigration matters, including:
- PERM applications
- H-1B, L-1, E-1/E-2, O-1, TN visas
- J-1 waivers
- EB-1 through EB-5 green card petitions
- Prepare and file all necessary immigration petitions and applications with meticulous accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain a deep understanding of U.S. immigration laws and regulations, staying abreast of any changes and updates.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand our client base.
- Supervise and mentor associates and paralegals within the team.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in any US jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of proven experience in employment-based immigration law.
- Demonstrated success in obtaining temporary and permanent immigration status for foreign professionals and highly skilled workers.
- Solid legal writing, research, and technology skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle a high volume of cases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience representing clients in immigration appeals or immigration court is a plus.
- Bandwidth to work full-time (40-50 hours/week on average.)
This temporary contract position is anticipated to start on August 1st and run through April 2025, with the potential to extend.
Pay Details: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour
