LHH is looking for a Billing Coordinator with at least 2 years of experience to join the accounting team for a firm in Pittsburgh. This full-time role is essential to the firm’s billing operations and offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team in a professional environment.

Currently using Juris billing software, the firm is planning to transition to Coyote later this year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and process attorney pre-bills per established billing cycles

  • Conduct comprehensive conflict checks

  • Apply retainer funds as directed

  • Handle write-offs in accordance with firm policy

  • Prepare complex invoices, including multi-matter discounts and split-party billing

  • Generate electronic invoices through third-party e-billing platforms

  • Review billing data for accuracy and completeness

  • Research and respond to billing inquiries

  • Create new billing formats and schedules as needed

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Utilize Juris, Microsoft Excel, and Word daily

  • Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of billing experience, preferably in a law firm

  • Proficiency with electronic billing systems and e-billing platforms

  • Familiarity with outside counsel guidelines

  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for working with numbers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with Juris preferred; willingness to learn Coyote software
