LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tax & Estates Legal Assistant for a confidential client. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy legal team focused on estate planning, probate, and tax matters. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-net-worth clients and a strong understanding of estate administration and tax documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
- Assist attorneys with probate filings, estate administration, and trust funding
- Draft correspondence, maintain client files, and manage deadlines related to estate and tax matters
- Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and clients to gather necessary documentation
- Support attorneys in preparing federal and state estate tax returns and related filings
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive client information
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in estate planning or tax law
- Strong knowledge of estate planning terminology, probate procedures, and tax documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and complex estate plans
- Familiarity with fiduciary accounting and trust administration
- Paralegal certificate or relevant legal training is a plus
Benefits:
Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401k plan. Additionally, you may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
