Corporate Senior Accountant ($100,000 - $115,000)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Onsite Corporate Senior Accountant for a $2B Nationwide client in the Plano/Frisco, TX area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely and accurate financial close and reporting for the corporate and consolidated results of the Company. This role pays $100-115K and is in office every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including general ledger account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and necessary adjustments.

  • Conduct monthly flux analysis, account reconciliations, and ad-hoc transactional research.

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors during financial audits to ensure compliance and provide necessary documentation.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.

  • Actively participate in system implementations or upgrades related to financial systems, providing subject matter expertise and user support.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as finance, operations, and legal to support strategic initiatives and address financial matters.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, offering insights and recommendations on accounting principles, policies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required.

  • CPA or CPA candidate Required.

  • 5+ years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience.

  • Cost or Inventory Accounting is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels of the organization.
