LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company in the real estate. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at our Plymouth Meeting, PA location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full-scope accounting for commercial properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Onsite, Plymouth Meeting, PA
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for commercial properties.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage property budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate billing and reconciliation.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Lease Administration: Review and interpret lease agreements, ensuring compliance with financial terms and conditions.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file property tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support property management decisions and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Reporting: Generate and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant industry or public accounting experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi or similar property management software), Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables), and strong analytical skills.
- Attributes: Thorough understanding of GAAP and tax basis of accounting, detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attitude: Enthusiastic and flexible, with a willingness to undertake a variety of special projects and new responsibilities.
