Job Description: LHH Recruitment is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join our large Non-Profit client's team on a direct hire basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering and coordinating their company's employee benefits programs, ensuring that all benefits are effectively managed and communicated to their employees.
Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and wellness programs.
- Assist employees with benefits open enrollment and questions, resolve benefits-related issues, and ensure effective use of plans.
- Maintain employee benefits records and ensure that plan changes are effectively communicated to all employees.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and negotiate to secure advantageous terms for our employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, obtaining qualified opinions, and enforcing adherence to requirements.
- Prepare and execute, with legal consultation, benefits documentation, such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements, and insurance policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Benefits Coordinator or similar role.
- Knowledge of benefits and compensation laws and regulations, ideally within Oregon and Washington.
- Knowledge of Kaiser benefit plans is a big plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
