Job Description: LHH Recruitment is seeking a Compensation Specialist to join our client's Human Resources team at a large non-profit organization based in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in the HR field, ideally with exposure to compensation work.
As a Compensation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Compensation Manager with developing and implementing compensation strategies that will attract and retain top talent. You will work closely with HR colleagues and department managers to ensure their compensation packages are competitive and equitable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to benchmark compensation and benefits.
- Utilize Excel for data analysis.
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop salary structures and bonus programs.
- Analyze job responsibilities to determine appropriate salary grades.
- Assist in the administration of annual salary reviews and bonus cycles.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of HR experience, with at least some exposure to compensation work.
- Strong Excel knowledge, including vlookups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
