Job Title: Contract Attorney
Location: Fully Remote (Any U.S. Time Zone)
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $70-$100/hr.
Employment Type: Contract - 8–12+ Months (Potential to Extend or Convert to Full-Time)

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a national company that is seeking an experienced Contract Attorney to support its busy Procurement and Service Issues team. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to be extended or converted to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of transportation-related contracts, including:
    • Port agreements
    • Trucking and logistics contracts
    • Project site transportation contracts
    • Train car leases
    • Lay down yard contracts
  • Collaborate with internal legal and procurement teams on service and construction-related agreements, including:
    • Labor subcontracts
    • Crane usage agreements at ports and project sites
  • Support the company’s renewable energy projects (including wind farms) by ensuring contracts are compliant, efficient, and aligned with company objectives
  • Manage multiple contract workflows and contribute to process improvement within a fast-paced, high-growth legal department

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in any U.S. state
  • 4+ years of experience negotiating and managing contracts, with a strong emphasis on transportation agreements
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and hit the ground running with minimal oversight
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contract types and stakeholders simultaneously
