LHH is currently working with a high-net worth family to fill an accounting role that will handle all of the personal/family accounting areas. This role will interact closely with the owner's company side but main focus for this standalone role will cover the owner and family accounting and financial areas. This position will replace the current person, in this role, who has been with the family 20+ years and close to retiring. This role will start off onsite (Portland area) but has some hybrid flexibility once the person has a good understanding of the role. NO REMOTE PEOPLE NEED APPLY!

REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED: prior working experience with high-net worth individuals (accounting & tax) and a strong background in general (corporate) accounting. If you do not have these two areas you will not be considered.

Job Overview -

  • This role will focus entirely on handling the personal accounting and financial activities for the company owner and family (high-net worth)

  • Focus on family personal accounting areas; Family Trusts and Foundations – will also include multiple residences, various remodeling projects, wire transfers, AP approvals/processing, banking, insurance and other accounting related areas as needed

  • Some tax related areas – most family related tax areas are handled through the Corporate Tax department

  • Will involve some general administrative functions as needed

  • Interact closely with the Corporate Accounting staff

  • Other accounting/financial related areas or projects regarding the family matters

Requirements -

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related area

  • 10+ years of all general accounting related areas and some tax understanding

  • Open to looking at someone coming from public accounting who has dealt with high-net worth clients along with general accounting

  • Recent experience working with high-net worth families or individuals

  • Good communication skills – able to respond professionally via phone or emails as needed; communicate professionally with internal and external people

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to work independently, make good decisions for the best of the situation, meet deadlines when things are due or needed

Salary: $120k - $140k base DOE
