Job Summary: LHH Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Non-Profit client's team in Portland, Oregon. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department by handling various administrative and HR-related tasks. This position requires a high level of organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS system.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and answering employee inquiries.
- Support employee relations by addressing employee concerns and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with the coordination of training and development programs.
- Prepare HR reports and assist with HR projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a coordinator or administrative capacity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
