Job Summary: LHH Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Non-Profit client's team in Portland, Oregon. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department by handling various administrative and HR-related tasks. This position requires a high level of organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS system.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and answering employee inquiries.
  • Support employee relations by addressing employee concerns and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the coordination of training and development programs.
  • Prepare HR reports and assist with HR projects as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a coordinator or administrative capacity.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
