Job Title: HR Generalist
Industry: Non-Profit
Location: 3-4 days remote and 1-2 days in office per week, based in Portland, OR
Duration: 2-5 month contract
Pay Rate: $30-$40 per hour DOE
Job Summary: LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Generalist to join our client's team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will focus on managing leaves, ensuring compliance, and handling employee relations. This role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days in the office per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Leave Management: Administer and manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, disability, and other leave policies. Ensure accurate tracking and documentation.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and grievances, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
HR Administration: Assist with HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, preparing reports, and supporting HR projects as needed.
Communication: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries. Provide clear and timely communication to employees and management.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on leave management, compliance, and employee relations.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
