Position Title: Payroll/HR Specialist (Proactive Posting)
Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 3 months with potential for extension (varies by opportunity)
Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (typical schedule)
Compensation: $26–$32 per hour (depending on role and experience)

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process weekly or biweekly payroll in alignment with company policies and deadlines

  • Maintain and update employee payroll and HR records

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local payroll regulations

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities

  • Provide employee support regarding payroll, benefits, and general HR questions

  • Collaborate with internal teams on reporting, audits, and documentation

  • Support general administrative and operational HR tasks as needed


Ideal Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or human resources

  • Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, etc.) and strong Excel skills

  • Up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and HR best practices

  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly



Pay Details: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour
