Job Title: Import Logistics Specialist

Location: Onsite in Portland, OR

Compensation: $60K - $72K DOE

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Import Logistics Specialist to join our client's team in SW Portland. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient importation of goods, managing logistics operations, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the importation process for goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

  • Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate the import process.

  • Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.

  • Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.

  • Ensure compliance with all import regulations and company policies.

  • Maintain accurate records of all import activities and transactions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, warehouse, and finance, to streamline logistics operations.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in import logistics or a related field.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree or other higher education preferred.

  • Strong understanding of import regulations and documentation requirements.

  • Experience using an ERP, SAP or similar system, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, basic Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.



Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $72,000.00 per year
