Job Title: Insurance Specialist
Location: Hybrid based in Portland, Oregon
Salary: $40 - $55 per hour DOE
Contract Duration: 1 year contract
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Job Description: This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to insurance data management and system deployment. This position requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. This role is crucial for supporting our client's insurance and data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor renewal documentation and digital applications.
Evaluate and input insurance-related data.
Generate insurance certificates and conduct information searches.
Facilitate renewal procedures and manage organizational filing systems.
Implement SharePoint for application creation, data management, and policy administration.
Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to verify insurance applications and underwriter inquiries.
Aggregate terms, coverage limits, endorsements, and insured parties for various projects, events, and compliance needs.
Coordinate regular broker updates, market insights, and quotation reviews.
Obtain and document property replacement values for insurance coverage.
Record vehicle identification numbers, licensing details, and location information for fleet management.
Provide support to the Manager on diverse projects and tasks.
Offer backup support for other team members as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; continuing education or certifications a big plus.
5+ years in an insurance and/or compliance related position, ideally for a large organization.
Proficiency in using office equipment and software, including SharePoint and MS Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour
