Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist
Location: Onsite – Portland, OR
Job Type: 3 - 6 month contract with potential for permanent hire
Pay Rate: $27 – $35 per hour (based on experience)



About the Role

LHH Recruitment is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Learning and Development Specialist to join our client's team onsite in Portland. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to empowering others through impactful training and development programs.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evaluate training programs that support employee growth and organizational goals.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for staff at all levels.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to align learning initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness and employee development metrics.
  • Maintain and update learning materials, manuals, and documentation.



Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; further education is a big plus.


Pay Details: $27.00 to $35.00 per hour
