Legal Assistant

LHH is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to support multiple partners and senior associates in our client’s Portland, OR office. This temp to hire role involves managing busy attorneys’ practices through complex administrative tasks and is essential for maintaining seamless client service and practice efficiency. The anticipated pay for this role is between $36-$43 an hour.

Responsibilities:
· Prepare, edit, proofread, and assemble legal documents and correspondence
· Generate charts, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations
· Support client communications and inquiries with professionalism and responsiveness
· Coordinate court filings, trial/hearing support, and new business intake processes
· Maintain electronic and physical filing systems with accuracy and confidentiality
· Assist with timekeeping, invoice preparation, budget tracking, and expense reports
· Manage travel logistics and calendars for attorneys
· Train and assist junior staff, support overflow work, and contribute to team initiatives
· Provide occasional marketing, business development, and client event support
· Uphold confidentiality and firm policies consistently
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Minimum 5 years corporate or law firm experience supporting attorneys or executives
· Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities
· Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with attention to detail
· Proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to urgent or changing demands
· Experience with Microsoft Office, iManage, document management, billing systems, and expense software preferred
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude
· Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
· Typing speed of 65+ WPM a plus
