Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in-office/1 remote after training)
Pay Rate: $35-$45/hr.

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Portland law firm to find an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in corporate law, be detail-oriented, responsive, and proactive. This role supports a team of attorneys focused on corporate and transactional matters, as well as general litigation. You’ll play a key role in keeping practices running smoothly, managing complex administrative tasks, and ensuring high-quality client service from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, revise, and proofread corporate documents, agreements, correspondence, and presentations
- Support litigation and transactional matters, including court filings, document preparation, and due diligence coordination
- Manage client communications and coordinate requests with a high level of professionalism
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with firm protocols
- Assist with new matter intake, including conflict checks, engagement letters, and document setup
- Track deadlines, manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel logistics
- Handle time entry, billing edits, and invoice preparation—ensuring accuracy with client-specific requirements
- Submit expense reports, process vendor invoices, and monitor client billing and collections
- Support attorney compliance (CLEs, licensing) and assist with research, project coordination, and business development tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal assistant experience in corporate law
- Excellent communication, proofreading, and organizational skills
- High level of discretion with confidential information
- Proactive, self-directed, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with iManage, document comparison tools, billing platforms, and Adobe Acrobat preferred
- Typing speed of 65+ wpm
- Willingness to assist with overflow and occasional overtime as needed
