LHH is working with an exceptional law firm in Portland, OR looking for a Legal Assistant!

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of legal procedures, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including calendar management and meeting coordination.

  • Draft and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.

  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files.

  • Assist with document preparation for hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.

  • Conduct basic legal research and compile information as requested.

  • Track deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on legal tasks and filings.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and internal teams.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including scanning, filing, and distributing documents.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative support role.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Job Details:

  • Contract: 4 months with possible extension

  • In - Office, Mon - Fri

  • Pay: $25 - $35 per hour

  • Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
