Job Title: Legal Assistant
Location: Portland, Oregon
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in-office/2 days remote
Salary: $65,000-$75,000

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively seeking a Legal Assistant for our client in Portland, Oregon. This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of five years of civil litigation experience, particularly with a background in insurance defense, casualties, or business litigation. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy contributing to a team.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support to assigned attorneys in their legal tasks
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Oregon state and federal court rules, procedures, electronic court filings, and docketing/calendaring
  • Prepare and manage legal documents and correspondence with accuracy and efficiency
  • Engage in professional communication with clients, maintaining confidentiality and providing necessary assistance
  • Monitor and manage legal deadlines to ensure compliance and prevent any oversights



Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in civil litigation
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and court personnel
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Washington state court rules and procedures is a plus
  • Strong computer skills are essential, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and preferably NetDocs
