Job Title: Logistics Associate
Location: Onsite in SW Portland, OR
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28–$34 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
LHH Recruitment is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to join our client's team in SW Portland, OR. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in domestic logistics and a passion for operational efficiency. The primary focus will be on scheduling and coordinating Full Truckload (FTL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate domestic shipments via FTL and LTL carriers.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays proactively.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Optimize shipping schedules and routes to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Support warehouse and inventory teams with logistics-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in domestic logistics, with hands-on experience in FTL and LTL shipping.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
