Duration: Contract to hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Compensation: $29 - $34 per hour DOE
Job Summary:
LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our client's team in SW Portland, OR. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and managing the efficient movement of goods, especially for drayage and trucking movements, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records. We are seeking candidates with 3+ years of logistics knowledge, with a big plus if you are experienced with drayage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of logistics and supply chain activities.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of goods.
- Schedule and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and transportation companies to arrange shipments and resolve any issues.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory, shipments, and logistics activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of drayage and trucking highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software such as ERP or SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
Pay Details: $29.00 to $34.00 per hour
