Medical Billing Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist for our healthcare client located in Downtown Portland near the Pearl District. This role will be a contract opportunity and 100% onsite, full-time hours. The role will be focused on the front and back end of the billing cycle - including a heavy majority being backend AR work, assisting our client in catching up on their backlog of accounts. Interested candidates must feel comfortable working a production environment, as well as be able to well within a team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum 2 years medical billing experience (must have backend AR experience)

• Knowledge of OR Medicaid and other insurance payers

• Proficiency working within EMR Systems and Microsoft Office

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially phone etiquette

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different tasks throughout the day

• Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

• Can meet metric productivity as outlined by management

• Ability to work well with others, but also work independently as needed

• Knowledge of insurance payers, especially OR Medicaid

• Tech savvy and can work well within multiple software systems
