LHH has partnered with a great firm who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join thier team in Portland. This role supports attorneys in all aspects of estate planning and probate administration, requiring strong organizational skills, legal knowledge, and client service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and prepare legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, court forms, tax returns, asset spreadsheets, and estate accountings.
Conduct legal research and locate documents, data, and records as needed.
Organize, review, and maintain client files and electronic records.
Serve as a point of contact for clients, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Assist attorneys with client meetings and case preparation.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of federal estate and gift tax returns, Oregon and Washington estate laws, and estate planning agreements.
Excellent grammar, proofreading, and document formatting skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and legal document formatting tools.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in legal and technical contexts.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, court, or corporate legal department.
Familiarity with legal research tools and standard citation systems.
Experience with legal billing software, document management systems, and databases.
Preferred:
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
National or local paralegal certification (e.g., RP, CRP, OCP).

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Hybrid, Mon - Fri
