Location: Portland, OR – (Can work 2 days remote after the first 60 days in the office)
Type: Temporary (6 months)
Regular office hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Pay range: $32/hr. $55/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in delivering legal services to clients.
- Handle U.S. and international patent applications, including filings and formal documents.
- Manage post-registration changes in patent properties.
- Maintain and update patent forms and reports.
- Prepare and send client and foreign associate correspondence.
- Review and approve docketing data.
- Conduct research and summarize findings.
- Handle new client file intakes and counsel transfers.
- Prepare cost estimates for foreign patent applications.
- Proficiency in computer software applications for patent prosecution.
- Familiarity with USPTO e-filing, e-PCT, PCT-Safe, and other online services.
- Experience with records management and docketing programs.
- Competence in using the firm's timekeeping system.
- High school degree required; college degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate and at least 3 years of relevant experience in patent prosecution.
Pay Details: $32.00 to $55.00 per hour
