Job Title: Probate Paralegal
Location: Portland, Oregon - Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Pay: $75,000-90,000/year
LHH is currently seeking a highly experienced Probate Paralegal to join our client's Estate Planning department. This role is exclusively focused on the probate process.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in probate and trust administration, with at least 4+ years in a similar role. You will be responsible for managing complex probate cases, drafting and filing necessary documents, and supporting a team of six attorneys. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and file pleadings for summary, formal, and ancillary administrations.
Prepare and manage estate inventories, petitions, inventories, accountings, and tax returns.
Ensure accurate documentation of assets and liabilities.
Maintain case files, oversee case calendars, and monitor crucial deadlines.
Support 6 attorneys (with 4 other paralegals)
Provide regular updates to attorneys on case progress.
Maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
Support other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or completion of an accredited paralegal program.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in probate law.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant estate planning document software (e.g., HotDocs, GEMs).
Extensive knowledge of Oregon probate and trust laws.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
