Job Title: Project Accountant (Construction)
Location: Onsite in Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $28-$30 per hour
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Description:
LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join our Construction client's team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in invoicing, billing, payroll, and contracts within the construction industry. This is a contract-to-hire position with the intention of long-term employment.
Responsibilities:
Manage and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Handle billing operations, including preparing and sending out bills, and following up on outstanding payments.
Oversee payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
Review and manage contracts, ensuring all terms are met and documented properly.
Enter and maintain purchase orders.
Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to ensure financial accuracy and project success.
Assist with budget preparation for bids and financial forecasting.
Order and track equipment for Project Managers and Field Technicians.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, billing, contracts or similar.
Some exposure to working within the Construction industry is required.
Proficiency in accounting, billing or project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
