Job Title: Project Accountant (Construction)
Location: Onsite in Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $28-$30 per hour
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join our Construction client's team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in invoicing, billing, payroll, and contracts within the construction industry. This is a contract-to-hire position with the intention of long-term employment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Handle billing operations, including preparing and sending out bills, and following up on outstanding payments.

• Oversee payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.

• Review and manage contracts, ensuring all terms are met and documented properly.

• Enter and maintain purchase orders.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to ensure financial accuracy and project success.

• Assist with budget preparation for bids and financial forecasting.

• Order and track equipment for Project Managers and Field Technicians.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, billing, contracts or similar.

• Some exposure to working within the Construction industry is required.

• Proficiency in accounting, billing or project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
