Public Tax Senior Manager - Architecture & Engineering

LHH is currently recruiting for a Public Senior Tax Manager with a larger, regional CPA firm. This role will be part of the continued growth in their division covering architecture and engineering clientele. The company HQs are located in the Portland, OR metro area along with offices in other states including WA, CA, CO, AZ and MT. They do want someone to live locally, in OR, and open to helping with relocation. This role will offer a mostly remote option but needs to have some onsite presence when needed. This will NOT be a fully remote role!

Company is looking to hire someone around May to allow strong candidates complete the current tax season before exploring new opportunities.

Overall Responsibilities:

· Focus on tax areas for architecture and engineering clients – division revenue currently just under $1 million and looking to grow

· Help grow this division by developing existing client relationships and helping to expand to new clients

· Interact with other departments as needed

· Strong client interaction

· Ability to help mentor, supervise and lead more junior members of the tax team – looking to help grow this team

Background:

· Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or equivalent

· 6+ years in public tax – highly preferred working with prior industry companies

· Active CPA license or completion of CPA exam – MANDATORY, will help to get license active if needed

· Prior industry experience working with architecture and engineering clients – will also look at individuals with law firm and/or construction clients

· Good interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients – written and in person

· Strong computer skills

Salary = $165k-$185k base + bonus
