Recruiter – Manufacturing & Engineering (Contract)

Location: Remote (must reside in the Portland, Oregon area)
Contract Length: 6 months, with potential for permanent conversion
Compensation: $40–$50 per hour


About the Role

LHH Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Recruiter with a strong background in manufacturing and engineering talent acquisition. This is a remote contract role, but candidates must be local to the Portland, OR area to support occasional in-person meetings or client visits as needed.

You’ll be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, partnering with hiring managers, and delivering top-tier candidates for technical and operational roles. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about connecting great talent with great opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for manufacturing and engineering roles
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and role requirements
  • Manage job postings, candidate pipelines, and interview scheduling
  • Conduct reference checks and support offer negotiations
  • Maintain accurate records in ATS and ensure compliance with hiring policies
  • Provide market insights and recruitment strategy recommendations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience recruiting in manufacturing and engineering sectors
  • Proven success in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing passive candidates
  • Familiarity with Portland’s industrial and engineering talent market
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools


Additional Details

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Software: Proficiency in ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office
  • Availability to Interview: Immediate


Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
