Responsibilities:
- Drives the technical execution of complex product development overseeing everything from New Product Development (NPD) to product launch, requiring minimal supervision.
- Plans and coordinates technical aspects of NPD projects, including creating prototypes, testing, validation, manufacturing design, technical reviews, and development of 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Works with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of projects.
- Develops robust and cost-effective designs for high volume manufacturing, employing proven tools and methodologies.
- Uses end-user and product application knowledge to support or lead the creation of new analysis and test methods, leveraging technical skills in statistics, simulation, coding, and 3D modeling to enhance internal capabilities.
- Offers recommendations to customers, suppliers, and management, and communicates effectively with global teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering strongly preferred); advanced degree highly desirable
- 5+ years of experience in product design, NPD, NPI environments
Skills:
- High level problem solving, communication, and business acumen
- Cross functional collaboration, domestically and internationally
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or similar, statistical analysis, and GDT
- Phython, Minitab, MATLAB highly desirable
About the role:
- Full Time, Direct Hire
- Mon – Fri; 8a-5p
- Hybrid role – 2-3 days working on site
- Comp / Benefits – 95-115K DOE; company performance bonus potential, employer/employee supported medical, dental and vision plans, 3 weeks’ paid time off, and 401k with company match
