Compensation: $40-50/hr. USD

Work Hours: 8am- 5pm

Location: Portland, Oregon- In office

Our client is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our finance team on a temp basis. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and analyzing costs associated with the manufacturing process, preparing cost reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the company's financial success. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor the cost of production and provide accurate cost reports to management.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting activities, including inventory analysis and reconciliation.

  • Assist with preparing and analyzing budgets and forecasts, ensuring cost efficiency and financial goals are met.

  • Work closely with operations and production teams to gather data on materials, labor, and overhead costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and inventory management.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.



Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
