LHH is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented AP Specialist (Construction) for a job in Poway, CA. This role will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This is a fully in-office position and has an anticipated compensation between $24-32/hr.

Responsibilities:

· Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.

· Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and ensure timely payments.

· Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy.

· Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable.

· Work closely with other departments to ensure timely processing of project-related expenses.

· Handle inquiries from vendors and internal teams regarding payments and billing discrepancies.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant sales tax regulations.

· Assist with sales tax reporting as needed (experience with sales tax is a plus).

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in accounts payable and construction industry experience a must.

· Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

· Experience with job costing is a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is a plus.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

· High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
