LHH has partnered with a leading construction related company in search for an AR Collections Specialist. With a long history and dedication to quality and a commitment to excellence, they pride themselves on delivering outstanding results to their clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments.
Responsibilities of this Accounts Receivables and Collections position include:
Conduct collections calls and correspondence with clients to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
Collect and file construction lien waivers.
Account for month end entries and accountability.
Post journal entries.
Maintain lease equipment contracts.
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
Work closely with the billing department to resolve any billing issues and ensure accurate invoicing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information.
Reconcile accounts and provide regular reports to management on the status of outstanding accounts.
Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate collection action.
Negotiate payment plans with clients as needed.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of experience in accounts receivable and collections, preferably in the construction industry and familiar with lien releases.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, preferred.
