Join a well-established, multi-location orthopedic practice with 7 locations and approximately 300 employees. The organization is known for its solid corporate culture, tenured team, and reasonable work/life balance. Unlike traditional accounting environments, this team does not follow a rigid month-end close process, offering a more consistent and manageable workflow.
Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper
Location: Princeton, NJ (Fully On-Site)
Salary: $55 to $65,000
Industry: Healthcare
Team Size: 5–6 employees
Position Summary:
This is a newly created, blended role with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable and Payroll. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining vendor records
- Assist with Payroll and Benefits administration, including processing payroll, managing benefit deductions, coordinating with HR on employee changes, and handling new state registrations
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and assist with related reporting
- Support general accounting functions, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end tasks
- Assist with the preparation of 1099s and other financial documentation as needed
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized company
- Strong background in Accounts Payable and Payroll
- Experience with QuickBooks required
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
