A large, well-established law firm in downtown Raleigh is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong legal administrative experience, particularly in corporate law and billing. The position supports attorneys and paralegals in managing legal matters, coordinating schedules, preparing documents, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate deadlines
Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, filings, and document management
Assist with legal billing and time entry processes
Maintain organized case files and client records
Conduct basic legal research and verify case information
Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and internal teams
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate legal environment
At least 2 years of legal billing experience
Litigation experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Education
Associate degree or equivalent work experience required
Interview Process
Candidates will complete the full interview process for the permanent role prior to being selected for the temporary assignment.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour
