Property Accountant

$33.00 - $36.00 per Hour
- Maintain accurate financial records for property management accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile property management accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for property-related transactions.
- Process rent rolls, lease agreements, and tenant payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for property performance.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process for property expenses and revenue.
- Conduct regular audits of property financials and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Liaise with property managers and other departments to resolve financial issues and provide support.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of property tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements for financial management.
- Three or more years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations is a plus.
