Medical Biller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Medical Biller in the Richmond area to join a healthcare organization focused on delivering quality patient care. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in handling the full revenue cycle process with an emphasis on claims follow-up and denial resolution.

This role is ideal for a billing professional who enjoys digging into A/R, navigating complex insurance requirements, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, prepare, and submit clean claims to government and commercial payers

• Follow up on outstanding claims, resolve denials, and initiate appeals as necessary

• Post payments and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner

• Work closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding

• Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing discrepancies

• Monitor aging reports and support A/R clean-up efforts

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable billing regulations

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing or claims follow-up

• Strong knowledge of insurance payer rules (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial)

• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes

• Proficient in medical billing software and Excel

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Experience with Epic, Athena, or similar EHR/billing systems preferred
