Job Title: Payroll Professional – Direct Hire


Location: Richmond, Virginia

Key Responsibilities:



  • Process payroll accurately and on time for employees, including salary, hourly, and commission-based pay.


  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.


  • Maintain and update payroll records for new hires, terminations, and status changes.


  • Prepare and review payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.


  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits.


  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.


  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to integrate payroll data with benefits administration.


  • Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation and support.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.


  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, including FLSA, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.


  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.


  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.


  • Effective problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.


  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.


  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.


Permanent Salary Range: $55K to $70K, depending on experience.


MUST pass a criminal background check and drug test.
