Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Accounting Manager to join our clients team in the greater Richmond, VA area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in standard cost accounting, WIP (Work in Progress), and SAP ERP System experience. This role requires a minimum of 4+ years working in a manufacturing environment and a degree in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all plant accounting functions, including cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.

  • Develop and maintain standard cost accounting systems to ensure accurate product costing and profitability analysis.

  • Monitor and analyze WIP (Work in Progress) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production costs.

  • Maintain SAP ERP System processes to streamline accounting operations and improve data accuracy.

  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in standard cost accounting and WIP (Work in Progress) management.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP System.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards.
