Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Accounting Manager to join our clients team in the greater Richmond, VA area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in standard cost accounting, WIP (Work in Progress), and SAP ERP System experience. This role requires a minimum of 4+ years working in a manufacturing environment and a degree in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all plant accounting functions, including cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Develop and maintain standard cost accounting systems to ensure accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
Monitor and analyze WIP (Work in Progress) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production costs.
Maintain SAP ERP System processes to streamline accounting operations and improve data accuracy.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in standard cost accounting and WIP (Work in Progress) management.
Hands-on experience with SAP ERP System.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards.
