LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal for a great law firm in Richmond, VA. The Real Estate Paralegal will support attorneys with closing residential and commercial matters. This opportunity is contract-to-hire and fully on-site.

Location: Westend of Richmond, VA

Hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle residential real estate transactions and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared accurately and efficiently

  • Handle purchase and sale files from beginning to end for both residential and commercial transactions

  • Maintain organized and detailed records, ensure all deadlines and requirements are met in a timely manner

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction; provide updates, answer queries, and address any concerns throughout the closing process

  • Conduct title searches and reviews to identify any issues or discrepancies that may affect the transaction

  • Coordinate with title companies and underwriters to resolve any issues as needed

  • Prepare and review legal documents such as purchase agreements, deeds, mortgages, and closing statements

  • Utilize SoftPro to manage and streamline the closing process

  • Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to facilitate smooth and efficient real estate closings; collaborate on complex transactions and provide support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal, with a focus on residential real estate closings; commercial real estate closing is a plus

  • Strong understanding of real estate laws, regulations, and procedures

  • Experience handling purchase and sale transactions from beginning to end

  • Proficiency in SoftPro software, highly desired

Permanent Salary Range: $55K-$65K
