Senior Corporate Accountant
LHH has partnered with a valued client in the Greater Richmond, VA area seeking a Corporate Senior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Accountant:
Financial Statements and Reporting:
Review and prepare financial statements and reports on a monthly basis.
Conduct month-end pre/post close departmental tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Prepare and present financial results to the executive leadership team on a monthly basis.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Accounts Payable and Payroll:
Process A/P checks/payments and ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies and have excellent follow up skills.
Process credit card and deposit activity.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Coordinate and prepare annual budgets.
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting purposes.
Technical Accounting:
Perform technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues in accordance with GAAP.
Month End close responsibility.
Prepare and review technical accounting memos and documentation.
Internal Controls and Audit:
Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to internal control policies.
Financial Analysis:
Prepare and present a variety of monthly reports for management review, including financial analysis summaries, balance sheet analysis, delivery and warehouse, and inventory analysis.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Corporate Accountant:
Education:
BS in Accounting or Finance.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Experience:
Full month-end financial close experience with the ability to prepare financial statements and present them to senior management.
Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Skills:
Strong MS Excel skills, including advanced functions and data analysis.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
