Position: Senior Director of Warehouse and Inventory
Position Overview
This senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction and daily execution of warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution across our network. You'll oversee the full inventory lifecycle—from inbound receiving through outbound delivery—ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and team performance. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on the warehouse floor just as much as in the boardroom, with a deep commitment to process improvement, safety, and continuous growth.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor warehouse, distribution, and inventory teams across multiple sites.
Provide hands-on leadership and be visible on the warehouse floor to foster engagement and operational understanding.
Oversee inbound, outbound, and inventory functions including receiving, storage, returns, and quality control.
Design and implement KPIs for accuracy, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Partner cross-functionally with procurement, supply chain, sales, and production teams to ensure inventory health and service levels.
Drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives, including layout optimization, WMS enhancements, and automation.
Maintain compliance with OSHA and all other applicable safety and regulatory standards.
Manage departmental budgets and capital expenditures while aligning with company goals.
Provide timely reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive leadership in warehouse, distribution, and inventory management; 5+ years in a senior-level role.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s a plus).
Strong experience with WMS, ERP, and inventory control systems.
Proven success in leading teams through transformation, efficiency gains, and cultural alignment.
Deep knowledge of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
OSHA General Industry training (10 or 30) strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operations software tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
Must be able to walk 10k-15k steps daily and occasionally lift or move up to 30 lbs.
Comfortable with climbing stairs and prolonged computer use.
