Technical Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Accounting Manager to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex accounting issues, financial reporting, and a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP. Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Accounting:

  • Research and interpret complex accounting standards, including new and evolving guidance.

  • Provide technical accounting support for various transactions, including revenue recognition, business combinations, consolidations, and stock-based compensation.

• Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and ensure timely submission.

• Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and technical accounting areas.

  • Implement best practices and streamline accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical accounting expertise on various projects, including M&A, new product launches, and other strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a Big 4 public accounting firm.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting issues.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
