Technical Accounting Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Accounting Manager to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex accounting issues, financial reporting, and a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Accounting:
Research and interpret complex accounting standards, including new and evolving guidance.
Provide technical accounting support for various transactions, including revenue recognition, business combinations, consolidations, and stock-based compensation.
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and ensure timely submission.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and technical accounting areas.
Implement best practices and streamline accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical accounting expertise on various projects, including M&A, new product launches, and other strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a Big 4 public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting issues.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
