Contract to Hire


Pay up to $45 an hour depending on experience.

Job Summary:


The Benefits Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, administration, and management of the organization's employee benefits programs. This role ensures that benefits offerings are competitive, compliant with legal requirements, and aligned with organizational goals. The Benefits Manager also serves as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Benefits Program Management:



    • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability, life insurance, and other fringe benefits.


    • Oversee benefits enrollment, eligibility, and communication processes.


    • Review and update benefits policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance.


  2. Compliance and Regulation:



    • Ensure benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA).


    • Stay current with changes in benefits-related legislation and adjust programs accordingly.


    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.


  3. Vendor Management:



    • Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with benefits vendors and service providers.


    • Monitor vendor performance and ensure that services are delivered as per contractual agreements.


    • Review and analyze vendor contracts and make recommendations for improvements or changes.


  4. Employee Communication and Education:



    • Develop and distribute benefits communication materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content.


    • Conduct benefits orientations, workshops, and seminars to educate employees about available benefits and how to use them effectively.


    • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits issues and inquiries.


  5. Data Management and Reporting:



    • Maintain accurate records of benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.


    • Prepare and analyze benefits-related reports and metrics for management review.


    • Monitor benefits utilization and costs to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings or enhancements.


  6. Strategic Planning:



    • Collaborate with senior management to align benefits programs with organizational goals and employee needs.


    • Assess the competitiveness of benefits offerings and recommend enhancements based on market trends and employee feedback.


    • Assist in developing and managing the benefits budget.


  7. Other Responsibilities:



    • Handle benefits-related issues and disputes with sensitivity and confidentiality.


    • Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate innovative benefits solutions as appropriate.


    • Participate in special projects or tasks as assigned by the HR Director or other senior management.

Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CEBS, CBP) is preferred.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour Search managed by: Tracy Galarza
